I’ve been working on my Operation: Icestorm miniatures. Mainly on the Grenzers sniper, as it was the only mini I wasn’t painting fully built. Looking at that model, the mask was screaming to be painted as a skull, kind of like the Army of Two masks. And the best way to paint it was without the sniper rifle on the way.
It’s been a crazy week, not much hobby time (or free time for that matter). Yesterday, once it all ended I went to bed and I’ve slept around 13 hours. So this update is about stuff I did last weekend.
Haven’t done much with my Imperial Fists, but I’ve been working on some things. I’ve joined a wargaming club and I’ve played, and lost, a couple of matches.
I recently bought some laser-cut acrylic gaming aids for my Imperial Fists army and I’ll use them to kick off my review posts.
After the short break to paint a couple of Warhammer minis, I’ve got my energy back to continue on the Imperial Fists. I’ve left the Rhinos and Drop Pod aside and I’ve been working on the last 5 minis I need: the 4 Sergeants and Lysander. Which I have with the yellow almost finished.
I’ve finished painting my first two Warhammer miniatures, a High Elf from the Island Of Blood and a Skeleton from my Tomb Kings Army Box.
Even if I have more than enough stuff to paint, I went ahead and bought the Warhammer: The Island of Blood starter set. It was a nice deal.
I had ordered some magnets from China a few weeks ago, and they were taking too much time. So I bought some from the UK so they’ll arrive sooner.
I got them a few days later. And the next day the ones from China arrived. I couldn’t avoid laughing about it.
As the 40K league hasn’t started yet and we still don’t know when it will, I’m taking a little break from the Imperial Fists. This is a hobby after all, not a second job. I did work on them this weekend, but that didn’t produce anything worth showing.
All is going according to plan. I went to the store to check if I had missed some email. I haven’t, they’re just being late with the league. I like that, more time to paint.
